'Mole II' Returns May 28 When ABC pulled "The Mole II: The Next Betrayal" from its schedule last fall, the show's loyalists felt like they were the ones being betrayed.
Now, though, fans will get another chance to ferret out the double-crosser among the game's 14 players, as "The Mole II" is returning for a full run starting Tuesday, May 28. "We've always believed 'Mole II' was incredibly strong creatively, and we're excited about its potential to lure both loyal and new viewers to ABC this summer," says Andrea Wong, ABC's senior vice president for alternative series and specials. "We think the show will really click with viewers looking for fresh, original programming in the summer months."
The network will air all 13 episodes of the show, in which 14 players travel through Europe completing a series of tasks that builds the prize pot as high as $1 million. One of them, however, is The Mole, secretly working for the show to sabotage the other players. Anderson Cooper (CNN's "American Morning" ) is the show's host.
Only three episodes of "The Mole II" aired during the fall. The show averaged a mere 5.6 million viewers at 8 p.m. Fridays. The series returns with back-to-back episodes beginning at 8 p.m. ET May 28. ABC has another back-to-back airing set for Tuesday, June 4; the show settles into its regular timeslot at 9 p.m. ET Tuesday, June 4. Related Shows
